We don't really have control over what the OS lists as cards, and you've stated that what the capability returned does not look to be from DisplayLink driver.

If going through the Indirect Display engine, could you please try to make the laptop monitor primary, then reboot and see if it changes the behaviour? When you boot, what display is the primary?
