Pinocchio is also able to equip a flamethrower to his arm as well, which allows him to take out enemies that are in groups. For example, Pinocchio can use his mechanical arm as a grappling hook to pull enemies from long distances towards him, allowing him to dispatch enemies who used ranged attacks. Being that Pinocchio is a puppet, the player is going to be able to change parts of his body to allow him to use certain abilities. Something that Pinocchio has over the other puppets in the city is that his mechanical arm possesses many abilities. Everything from rapiers to large hammers, to swords, can be used to stop enemies. Much like Dark Souls, there’s going to be a litany of weapons that the player can use to dispatch the puppets. These mechanical monstrosities are going to be the main rouges gallery for the game. There’s plenty of automatons that roam the city of Krat. However, the new trailer for the game has shown off some of the combat scenarios that the player is going to get into, and how this is going to change the way that the game plays out. The game is also going to sport multiple endings, and the player’s choices and who he lies to are going to be vital in how the ending plays out. However, there are some people who might be willing to help the player out, but much like Pinocchio’s story, they’re not going to be trustworthy, and Pinocchio is going to have to lie if he plans on finding Geppetto while remaining in one piece. Who created these evil versions of the citizens isn’t known, but they need to be dispatched all the same. Plenty of enemies in the city of Krat resemble things that would be found in the city, from people to animals, all automatons who have a craving for the main character. The city is infested with a plague that’s taken out a large amount of the human population, and on top of this, it’s also crawling with many mechanical monsters who can’t wait to tear the player to pieces. Thus, Pinocchio sets out to find this mysterious person.īut the path to finding him isn’t going to be easy.

While the game isn’t taking the direct storyline, some of the themes and elements from the story are similar. Lies of P takes a spin on the classic story of Pinocchio from the Italian writer Carlo Collodi. Games like Sekiro, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne have all spent their time punishing players for using their preconceived notions of gaming and made them evolve to think critically when they’re fighting against enemies. Soulsborne games ball-bustlingly difficult action RPGs that mix character action with reflexes, timing, and serious amounts of patience in players to conquer the world around them. The game is called “Lies of P” and it’s going to put a spin on the world of the “Soulsborne” genre, as well as put a spin on a familiar story that players won’t be expecting.
Now, it seems like another game is going to break the mold of a previously established genre. Games like Deathloop have brought the concept of the time loop into the mainstream, while Lemnis Gate has turned that concept into a fully-fledged 1v1 chess FPS title. While there’s been a lot of mainstream AAA titles that have been more or less the same, it always seems like there’s a game with a whole new concept around the corner.
